Envelope guest addressing
An heirloom first impression. Each envelope is hand-addressed using a pointed pen and your ink of choice—adding elegance, intention, and artistry to your invitation suite.

Live On-Site Calligraphy & Engraving
Transform your event with a white-glove personalization experience—where each name, word, or phrase is handwritten or engraved live, before your guests’ eyes.
Whether it’s calligraphy on handmade tags or engraving on glass, perfume bottles, or keepsakes, this elegant detail becomes more than a gift—it becomes a moment. Guests are invited to pause, engage, and leave with something both beautiful and deeply personal.

Calligraphy Soirée
The Calligraphy Soirée is a beautiful experience I offer for bridal showers, birthdays, or intimate gatherings. I set up a small calligraphy station where I personalize cards, name tags, or favors for guests on the spot—adding an elegant, thoughtful touch to the event.
There’s also an optional “try-it” moment, where guests can pick up a pointed pen and try their hand at calligraphy themselves. It’s always such a fun and unexpected experience—one that brings a little magic and creativity to the table.
For those who fall in love with it (and many do!), I also offer a more in-depth beginner’s calligraphy class separately—perfect for ladies’ groups, creative nights, or anyone wanting to learn the art more intentionally.
The Calligraphy Soirée Service can be hosted at your chosen location, with a minimum number of guests. As a special touch, the bride’s experience is always complimentary.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Reach out as soon as you can—ideally 10 to 12 months before your planned mailing date. This allows us ample time for creative exploration, production, and any finishing touches.
You’ll receive a detailed proposal outlining costs, paper and print options, and an estimated production timeline.
Secure Your Spot
Once you’re ready to move forward, a signed contract
and a 50% non-refundable retainer reserves your place in my schedule.
From there, we’ll collaborate on a mood board and color palette.
A brief design questionnaire will help capture your vision and personal style.
Design & Production
We’ll have a personal consultation via Zoom
and up to three revisions to finalize your fully custom invitation suite.
Production takes a minimum of 6-8 weeks,
though it can extend based on print methods
or chosen embellishments (e.g., wax seals, ribbons).
Final Payment & Delivery:
After your materials are confirmed and the guest list is ready,
I’ll send an invoice for the remaining balance.
Your beautifully crafted invitations will then be shipped to you via USPS
or your preferred courier (shipments available within the USA).

Hola, I am María Esperanza. I first discovered calligraphy ten years ago as a gentle way to ease everyday stresses, and it soon flourished into one of my greatest passions.
Although my formal training was in systems engineering—a world away from the arts—my love for calligraphy took root over countless hours spent refining my handwriting and personal style.
I’ve since had the privilege of crafting bespoke stationery for couples and families who share my love for artful details.

WHY THE NAME ESPERANZA ATELIER?
Esperanza Atelier is the studio of María Esperanza Zamarripa. Through the years María has spent plenty of time working on her writing and developing a personal style.
Born and raised in Mexico, Maria owes her love for detail and good workmanship to her parents, a tailor and a seamstress.
Growing up in Northern Mexico, I spent countless hours in my parents’ sewing studio, observing the meticulous process of fitting, stitching, and refining.
Their devotion to craftsmanship and care influences every stroke of my pen, allowing me to infuse a warm, personal touch into each project.
From delicate flourishes to gentle color palettes, my style can be described as romantic, organic, and timelessly elegant.

I now call North Houston home, sharing my days with two wonderful children who spark my creativity with their curiosity and energy. When I’m not writing, you might find us baking treats or exploring the outdoors together.
